Brent has spent his professional life protecting the rights of individuals and businesses, winning major jury verdicts for both defendants and plaintiffs in high-stakes trials. Brent is particularly proud of his work representing individuals who have been wronged. He successfully represented a survivor of the Bataan Death March in World War II in a copyright infringement case against those who wrongfully copied his book, recounting how his faith and love for his soon-to-be wife got him through the terrors of war.
Brent has served in several positions where he was involved in policy, politics, and law.

Brent is a graduate of Brigham Young University. His law degree is from Columbia University School of Law. He is listed as one of the Mountain States Super Lawyers Top 100. Brent is married, has four children, and five grandchildren all raised in Utah. He is proud of his Utah heritage and the service his family has given to our country. Brent wants to continue this legacy by serving as your United States Senator from Utah.
